I drew these hands in january. I was experiencing a block in drawing so I decided to just draw a bunch of boring hands to get me out of my non-drawing gutter.

An update on my watercolor painting from class. The original reference is here. I’m not that happy with this. When I printed out the photo, I forgot a few details that got lost in the print out, such as the green part is meant to be a reflection in the water, but I didn’t really convey that very well in the image. Also, the fish, especially the bottom two, look way too stiff. I really should have focused on a sketch that changed the shapes somewhat. My teacher said that I should gather my own reference, and I think I will try to do that, rather than rely on a photo. Or at least, interpret the photo in a more creative way.
